Kuwaiti caught for selling public ‘imaginary’ land plots

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 1: The security authorities have taken into custody a 50-year-old Kuwaiti in connection with fraud and cheating Kuwaitis and expatriates by selling them imaginary real estate in Turkey, Egypt and Lebanon on the strength of forged contracts, reports Al-Shahed daily. The daily quoting security sources said the suspect carried out a wellplanned operation with the help of forged master plans, photos of real estate and layouts of illusory projects allegedly belonging to real estate offices. The man then after signing the contracts and receiving part payment would delay handing over documents under some or the other pretext. The daily added, the suspect is out of the country and a warrant arrest has been issued against him.

Magic tools seized: Customs officers have seized sorcery and black magic material from an unidentified Kuwaiti, reports Al-Shahed daily. The daily added, the man was taken into custody when he arrived with the contraband at the Kuwait International Airport. The contraband was neatly hidden in his baggage. According to reports the suspect was wanted by law for allegedly making black magic on an unidentified former minister because the photo of the minister was found among the tools. He has been handed over to the authorities.

3 robbers caught: Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department have arrested three Ethiopians for breaking into cars and stealing money, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added, the arrest came after several motorists complained about withdrawing money from banks and the money was stolen after the car was left unattended for a few minutes. Police reportedly set a trap for the suspects in Hawally and caught the thieves red-handed and handed them over to the Public Prosecution for further interrogations.
