Kuwaiti athletes dominate at the Gulf Youth Athletics Championship

DOHA, May 6,(KUNA):  Kuwait’s youth athletics team continued to deliver impressive performances at the 18th Gulf Youth Athletics Championship f, currently taking place in Doha, Qatar.

In the long jump event, Mohammed Al-Duaij clinched the gold medal with a jump of 2 meters. His compatriot Hamad Feirouz earned the silver medal with the same recorded distance, marking a strong Kuwaiti showing in the competition.

Kuwait also dominated the 110-meter hurdles race. Mishari Al-Mutairi captured the gold medal with an outstanding time of 13.94 seconds, followed closely by teammate Jassem Al-Junaei, who secured the silver medal with a time of 14.02 seconds.

Additionally, athlete Khaled Al-Yalous added to Kuwait’s medal tally by claiming the bronze medal in the decathlon event.
