Kuwaiti Arrested for Spreading Hate Speech on Social Media

KUWAIT CITY, June 25: The Ministry of Interior has announced the arrest of a Kuwaiti citizen for posting a video on social media that contained offensive content aimed at provoking division and inciting discord within society.

According to the Ministry, the individual deliberately targeted a segment of the population, displaying blatant contempt and mockery in the circulated video clip. Authorities acted swiftly after the footage began circulating online, viewing it as a direct attempt to undermine national unity.

The suspect has been referred to the competent authorities, and all necessary legal measures have been taken against him.

In a statement, the Ministry of Interior reaffirmed its firm stance against any actions or expressions that threaten national cohesion. It emphasized that it will not tolerate the spread of hate speech or any attempts to disrupt the social fabric of Kuwaiti society, and vowed to pursue all legal avenues in such cases.
