TUNIS, June 19: Kuwaiti Ambassador to Tunisia, Mansour Al-Omar, reaffirmed Kuwait’s ongoing commitment to supporting national athletes participating in regional and international competitions.
His remarks came during a reception held for the Kuwaiti delegation participating in the Tunis International Paralympic Athletics Meeting. The delegation was led by Nasser Al-Ajmi, Chairman of the Kuwait Paralympic Athletics Committee. It included delegation member Fahad Al-Mutairi and athletes Faisal Sorour, Dhari Batti, and Nasser Faraj.
Ambassador Al-Omar congratulated the athletes on their outstanding performances and medal wins, commending their dedication and wishing them continued success in future events.
For his part, delegation head Nasser Al-Ajmi expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and the support provided by the Kuwaiti Embassy in facilitating the delegation’s entry and easing logistical challenges at the airport. As a token of appreciation, he presented Ambassador Al-Omar with a commemorative plaque.
The Tunis International Paralympic Athletics Meeting, held from June 16 to 18, saw Kuwaiti athlete Faisal Sorour claim two gold medals, while Dhari Batti secured a silver medal. Meanwhile, Nasser Faraj achieved qualification for the 2025 World Athletics Championships, set to take place in India.
