BELGRADE, Aug 9: The Kuwait youth team suffered a 3-1 defeat against Serbian club Brodarac in a friendly match in Serbia. Misfer Al-Adwani scored the team’s sole goal.
Earlier, the team lost 5-1 to Serbian club Partizan but bounced back with a 3-1 victory over Serbian club Sevojno in another friendly match as part of its preparations.
The coaching staff is focused on preparing all players over the coming period by improving their fitness levels and fostering strong team cohesion ahead of the Gulf Youth Cup, scheduled to take place in Abha on August 28.
Kuwait is drawn in Group A alongside Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Yemen. Group B consists of Oman, Iraq, Bahrain, and Egypt, which will participate as a replacement for the UAE.
