AMMAN, July 21, (KUNA): Kuwait’s youth handball team suffered a close defeat to South Korea, losing 24-25 in a thrilling match held on Sunday at Al-Hussein Youth City in Amman, Jordan.
The match was part of the decisive second round of the 18th Asian Championship, which serves as a qualifier for the 2025 World Championship in Poland.
Exiting the second round with two points, the Kuwaiti team had previously secured a victory against Jordan but faced consecutive losses to Bahrain and South Korea.
Despite the intense pressure to secure points for World Cup qualification, the Kuwaiti team showcased an enthusiastic and technically skilled performance. The match was marked by high competitiveness and excitement, with both teams displaying distinctive technical abilities. South Korea clinched the victory in the final minutes of the game.
