TANGIER, Morocco, Sept 28 (KUNA): Kuwait’s national shooting team wrapped up its campaign at the Arab Shooting Championship in Tangier with an impressive haul of 10 medals: two gold, four silver, and four bronze.
Head of the Kuwaiti delegation, Mashfi Al-Mutairi, told KUNA on Sunday that shooters Nasser Al-Muqalled and Shahad Al-Hawal secured silver in the Mixed Trap event, lifting Kuwait’s overall medal tally to ten.
Al-Mutairi voiced pride in the team’s achievements, calling the tournament an important step toward upcoming regional and international competitions, while also commending the positive spirit that marked the event.
For his part, President Delegate of Morocco’s Royal Shooting Federation, Abdulazim Al-Hafi, highlighted the high level of competition, noting that the championship also served as valuable preparation for Tangier’s hosting of the 2026 ISSF World Cup.
The Arab Shooting Championship, which kicked off the Saturday before last, brought together 60 athletes from eight Arab nations, including Kuwait.
