KUWAIT CITY, April 29: Kuwait was declared the world leader in terms of freshwater quality in 2017 and 2018 by the World Health Organization and UNICEF, reports Al-Anba daily.

This is not easy and does not come from a vacuum, but as a result of concreted efforts exerted by the various departments in the Ministry of Electricity and Water to reach the level of global standards of drinking water.

This is in addition to the great responsibility of the Kuwaiti leadership not only with regard to the maintenance of public health locally, but also in the development of its work in accordance with the surrounding circumstances through an integrated system of procedures followed by the ministry in this regard.

The Director of the Chemical Business Administration in the water operation and maintenance sector of the ministry of electricity and water Sarah Al-Mutairi, who is responsible for one of the departments directly concerned with the quality of fresh water in the country, confirmed that the ministry is constantly upgrading laboratories and improving the quality of the produced freshwater.
