The meeting is in progress.

KUWAIT CITY, June 4: The Kuwait Volleyball Association has agreed with clubs that the 2025-2026 season will begin at the end of next September.

This decision came during a meeting held at the Federation’s headquarters in the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Aquatics Complex. The meeting was attended by the Association’s Assistant Secretary, Naif Al-Khamili, members of the Competitions Committee, and representatives from the clubs.

The meeting also set the first registration period for professional and local players, which will run from August 3 to October 30. This will be preceded by a preliminary registration period from July 15 to August 30. The dates for the second transfer window will be announced later.

The Kuwait Volleyball Association and club representatives discussed proposals and preparations aimed at further developing the sport across all age groups in the upcoming season.

Meanwhile, the Association's Board of Directors is expected to convene next week, provided a quorum is met, to establish several committees, including the Competitions Committee and the Training Committee.

Led by Dr. Jaber Al-Marri, the Federation is keen to form these committees soon after the conclusion of the last season. This will enable them to work through the summer to prepare thoroughly for the new season, creating a suitable environment for organizing competitions smoothly and scheduling matches at convenient times. The success of the previous season, which was free of notable protests or issues, serves as a strong foundation.
