KUWAIT CITY, Nov 26: In a public announcement made via its official “X” account (formerly known as Twitter) this Sunday morning, the Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company has extended an appeal to seafarers and fishing boats, requesting them to exercise caution and avoid approaching the vicinity of the artificial island housing the Al-Zour Refinery, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

The company underscored the significance of maintaining a safe distance from the refinery’s location, emphasizing that the presence of fishing boats in close proximity could potentially disrupt the seamless movement of tankers and transport boats. Such disturbances, the company explained, have the potential to negatively impact the efficiency and operational activities of foreign exports associated with the refinery.

The appeal serves as a proactive measure to ensure the smooth functioning and unhindered operations of Al-Zour Refinery, a vital component of Kuwait’s petroleum infrastructure. By urging seafarers and fishing boats to steer clear of the designated area, the Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company aims to prevent any unintended disruptions that may impede the refinery’s critical role in the country’s oil and gas sector.
