KUWAIT CITY, Dec 3: There is no doubt that many young people are keen about working in the government sector. According to a statistical report issued by the Public Authority for Manpower, graduates from the Kuwait University increasingly opt for the government sector rather than the private sector, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The report revealed that the annual increase in the number of Kuwaitis in the government sector reached 9,700, compared to 1,000 citizens in the private sector.

The report showed that Kuwait University students constitute the highest percentage among government sector employees, with a total of 137,000 citizens, whereas 9,411 unemployed university graduates are on the list to secure government jobs. They are neither receiving pension nor registered with an educational institution, out of the 17,000 citizens registered in the employment platform.
