KUWAIT CITY, Feb 8: Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef, who also serves as the Minister of Defense and Acting Minister of Interior, conducted an inspection visit to the Department of Deportation and Temporary Detention Affairs yesterday. Accompanied by Sheikh Hamoud Al-Mubarak, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Financial Affairs, Sheikh Fahd aimed to oversee operations, identify challenges, and devise solutions.

During the visit, Sheikh Fahd assessed the capacity of the deportation prison and conducted an inspection of various prisoner wards, including those housing both male and female inmates. He attentively listened to the inmates' concerns and grievances, noting their most pressing issues.

In response to the observations and complaints raised, Sheikh Fahd issued directives to address the obstacles faced by inmates by the law. He emphasized the importance of creating mechanisms to streamline procedures for deportees, particularly those without passports. This initiative entails close coordination with relevant embassies to facilitate their swift repatriation.

Furthermore, Sheikh Fahd underscored the necessity of addressing all deficiencies within the administration of deportation and temporary detention affairs. He articulated a forward-looking vision aimed at enhancing the efficiency of operations and eliminating obstacles and challenges within this crucial administrative domain.

Additionally, Sheikh Fahd visited the Juvenile Administration Building, also known as the Social Evaluation House, reaffirming the government's commitment to addressing various facets of the nation's corrections and rehabilitation system.
