Kuwait to host International Boxing Championship

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 8: Mishaal Al-Fajee, the World Boxing Council (WBC) representative in Kuwait, announced that all preparations are complete for an international boxing championship set for Saturday evening at Al-Zumurruda Hall. The tournament will feature top professional boxers from Germany, the Philippines, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Tunisia.

Al-Fajee, who also heads Kuwait Sport Promotion, invited boxing and martial arts enthusiasts to attend what promises to be an exciting evening of the noble art of boxing, featuring evenly matched bouts between champions and international title contenders.

Speaking to the press, Al-Fajee said the event is organized in collaboration with the WBC to enhance the technical level of boxing and develop the skills and physical abilities of Kuwaiti athletes. He added:

“We hope that hosting international sporting events like this will promote sports culture, encourage young athletes to compete, and open the path for them to pursue professional careers under internationally recognized rules and standards.”

Al-Fajee also noted that the championship is held under the full supervision and support of the World Boxing Council (WBC), highlighting its significance in the international boxing calendar.
