RIYADH, June 24: The 49th extraordinary meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Ministerial Council is scheduled to take place today in Doha, Qatar. The session will be chaired by Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya, who currently heads the Council, according to GCC Secretary-General Jassim Al-Budaiwi.

In a statement, Secretary-General Al-Budaiwi said the Ministerial Council will address the recent developments concerning the Iranian missile attack on Qatar. He emphasized that the meeting underscores the strong solidarity among GCC member states with Qatar.

Al-Budaiwi highlighted that the security and stability of Qatar are inseparable from the overall security and stability of the GCC region, reaffirming the Council’s commitment to unity and collective security.

The meeting reflects the GCC countries' unified stance and support in the face of regional challenges.
