KUWAIT CITY, Oct 6: Kuwait’s Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) has officially referred two leaders, along with others, to the Public Prosecution on suspicion of submitting false financial disclosure statements.
Nazaha made the announcement Sunday via its verified Twitter account, emphasizing its unwavering commitment to continue thorough investigations and evidence gathering regarding all credible reports it receives. The authority underlined the seriousness with which it pursues any breach related to financial disclosures.
In its statement, Nazaha called on all individuals subject to financial disclosure regulations to strictly observe accuracy and transparency when completing and submitting their statements within the legally mandated deadlines. The authority stressed that adhering to these rules is both a legal and ethical responsibility vital for safeguarding public funds, reinforcing integrity, and strengthening public trust in state institutions.
Nazaha’s latest move highlights Kuwait’s ongoing efforts to uphold accountability and combat corruption at the highest levels of leadership.
