KUWAIT CITY, Sept 18: In a continued effort to safeguard national supplies, Minister of Health and Chairman of the Cabinet's Food, Drug and Water Security Committee, Dr. Ahmad Al-Awadhi, announced Wednesday that the committee is actively working to ensure the availability of food and medicine across Kuwait, drawing on both local and international resources.

Chairing a key committee meeting at Seif Palace yesterday, Dr. Al-Awadhi emphasized the government's commitment to strengthening the governance of Kuwait's food and medicine security system to meet the country's needs effectively.

Speaking to KUNA following the session, the minister stated that the committee reviewed several proposals and studies aimed at achieving sustainable food, drug, and water security. Among the most prominent initiatives discussed was the establishment of a comprehensive national database to monitor and track the strategic stockpile of essential commodities across the country.

The meeting brought together members of the Cabinet's Food, Drug, and Water Security Committee, along with senior officials and leaders from various relevant government bodies, all convening under the leadership of Dr. Al-Awadhi to align strategies and reinforce Kuwait's preparedness in essential supply chains.
