Kuwait, Sri Lanka discuss strengthening health cooperation

KUWAIT CITY, June 4: Minister of Health Dr. Ahmad Al-Awadhi emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral health relations with Sri Lanka and leveraging shared expertise to develop healthcare services during a meeting on Wednesday with Sri Lankan Ambassador Pradeep Ratnayake.

The Ministry of Health said in a statement that the meeting, held in the presence of Assistant Undersecretary for Foreign Health Services Dr. Hisham Kalander, reflected Kuwait's commitment to enhancing joint cooperation in the health sector.

Ambassador Ratnayake praised the strong ties between the two nations and expressed his hope to expand avenues of fruitful collaboration in healthcare.

The ministry noted that the meeting falls within its broader efforts to bolster international partnerships and build an integrated and sustainable healthcare system.
