KUWAIT CITY, May 20: Kuwait Sports Club won the championship title of the 48th Kuwait Handball Federation Cup after defeating Al-Qurain Sports Club by 30-21 in the final match for the third time consecutively. This is the fifth title in the club’s history after winning double title this season, in addition to the league and federation cup.

Handball players from Kuwait Sports Club managed to emerge the best in this season’s tournament and over two years since their last defeat in the first class tournament on May 16, 2013.

Taking the third place was Kazema Sports Club, which managed to defeat Yarmouk by 32-26 to take home the bronze medal, while Yarmouk came fourth.

The Handball Federation Cup has been hosted 47 times wherein Al-Arabi Club won 13 times, Kazema and Salmiya won 8 times each; Qadisiya won 7 times, Kuwait won 5 times, Khaitan 4 times, Fahaheel 3 times, and Suleibikhat 2 times.
