KUWAIT CITY, Aug 10: Fahd Salmeen, a member of Kuwait's diving team, clinched the bronze medal at the ongoing World Diving Championships being held in the Republic of Estonia. The championship is set to continue until Saturday.

Talal Al-Sarhan, the head of the local Diving and Rescue Federation, conveyed in a recent conversation with Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that Salmeen's recent medal achievement adds to the team's impressive track record. The championship, which commenced yesterday, has drawn participation from around 20 nations. Salmeen's accomplishment in this event marks his third medal win, following his success in securing three medals during the previous year.

Al-Sarhan further emphasized that despite the relatively recent establishment of diving as a sport in Kuwait, the national team has showcased remarkable prowess and skill. The team's achievements highlight their capability to compete on the global stage and attain podium positions in international tournaments.

He also highlighted the dedication of the local Al-Ittihad diving club, founded merely three years ago, in fostering a competitive spirit and pursuing excellence in the sport. Their commitment underscores the continued aspirations of Kuwait's diving community to thrive and make their presence felt on the international podiums.
