Excelled students display their certificates after the awarding ceremony.

KUWAIT CITY, June 3: The Kuwait School and High Education Sports Federation (KWSP.E.HE) honored the participants in the activities of the “morning activities” and “talented” centers for the 2023-2024 sports season.

The ceremony was held under the patronage of the Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs, and the Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Dr. Mathal Al-Huwaila. She was represented in the honor by the Deputy Director General of the Public Sports Authority for the competitive sports sector, Bashar Salem.

The Chairman of the Federation’s Board of Directors, Faisal Al-Maqseed, said in a press statement on this occasion that the current season witnessed the joining of a large number of players, male and female coaches, and administrative staff to clubs and federations.

Al-Maqseed stated that the federation’s strategy and vision for 2021-2026, which relies on discovering talent in schools working to develop it and supplying clubs and federations with it, has succeeded in achieving its goals this season.

Pointing to the success achieved in the Arab School Sports Championship, which was hosted in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, at the end of last November, as well as the World Championship, which was hosted by China. The activities included include seven sports for boys: football, handball, basketball, volleyball, bowling, and martial arts, in addition to four games for girls: futsal, basketball, volleyball, and handball.

The Kuwait School Sports and Higher Education Federation is a qualitative, non-profit sports federation supervised by the Public Sports Authority. It aims to serve athletes from the primary to university levels and seeks to advance sports in the State of Kuwait. The federation’s vision is for the State of Kuwait to be a leader in the field of school sports in the Arab, Asian, and global world, to restore the leadership level of our national teams.

The Federation aims to enhance sports practice and activities in Ministry of Education schools, universities, and colleges for both genders, boys and girls, as well as spread sports, health, and educational awareness and encourage the practice of sports.

It also aims to allow the largest possible number of individuals to play different games and activities that suit everyone and the nature of Kuwaiti society.
