Kuwait Rolls Out New Sahel App Feature for Women Stripped of Nationality

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 10: The Article 8 Affairs Office of the Ministry of Interior has confirmed that the "Submitting Status Amendment and Proof of Authenticity" service is now available through the unified government electronic services application, "Sahel." This service enables women whose nationalities were revoked under Article 8 to submit proof that they have amended their status.

According to a ministry press release, users can access this service by navigating to the Ministry of Interior’s section within the "Sahel" app, then selecting Article 8 Affairs Services, followed by the "Submitting Status Amendment and Proof of Authenticity" option.

If the applicant has obtained a passport from their country of origin, they should choose the "Modify Status" option. If they have not obtained a passport, they should select "Proof of Authenticity" and upload any supporting certificate.

For those selecting "Modify Status," a copy of the passport can be attached before applying, and the application status can be tracked directly through the app.

The ministry also noted that any inquiries or complaints can be submitted through the communication service available in the "Sahel" app. Additionally, communication with the Article 8 Affairs Office is available by phone during official working hours, Sunday to Thursday, from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM, via the following numbers: 97283232, 97284747, 97293232, and 97283535.
