Kuwait Takes Steps To Prepare For Nuclear Emergencies
The National Initiative for Assessing Risks and Damage from Nuclear Reactors to Kuwait holds a meeting to review readiness.

KUWAIT CITY, June 17: The National Initiative for Assessing Risks and Damage from Nuclear Reactors convened a high-level meeting on Tuesday to evaluate the country's preparedness in light of the ongoing regional situation, the Army's General Staff announced in a press statement.

The meeting brought together representatives from both military and civilian institutions to review the readiness of vital sectors to respond to potential emergencies or disasters. Discussions focused on national capabilities in the energy, water, and health sectors, as well as environmental monitoring strategies and civil defense plans.

Participants also reviewed mechanisms for managing air and sea crises, and examined coordination and support systems among the relevant authorities.

According to the statement, the meeting aimed to strengthen integration among state institutions and enhance overall preparedness to address potential nuclear-related risks and ensure a swift, coordinated response.
