KUWAIT CITY, Aug 28: The General Traffic Department, in collaboration with the Public Authority for Manpower, has announced that motorcycle operations for consumer delivery companies will resume on Sunday, September 1, 2025. This follows a seasonal suspension during the summer months, which was implemented to safeguard workers from extreme heat.
According to the updated directive, delivery motorcycles will be permitted to operate daily between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM, but only within designated areas. Their operation will continue to be prohibited on highways and ring roads to maintain traffic safety.
The Ministry of Interior emphasized that this decision is part of broader efforts to manage traffic and improve road safety. It also reaffirmed that the summer suspension was a humanitarian step focused on protecting delivery workers from high-temperature-related risks.
