Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah shakes hands with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun.
BEIRUT, July 14: Lebanese President Joseph Aoun received Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah and his accompanying delegation at the Presidential Palace in Baabda on Monday. During the meeting, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef conveyed the greetings of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al- Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and his sincere wishes for the Lebanese Republic for continued security, stability and prosperity, stressing Kuwait’s keenness to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields.
The meeting addressed several regional and international topics of common interest, as well as ways to develop bilateral cooperation between the two countries’ security agencies and exchange expertise in various fields. Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef lauded the deep-rooted fraternal relations between Kuwait and Lebanon, stressing Kuwait’s keenness to consolidate the bonds of cooperation and joint coordination.
Meanwhile, Sheikh Fahad Al- Yousef met Monday with Lebanon’s parliament speaker Nabih Berri to discuss the longstanding ties between the two countries. The meeting addressed a range of issues of mutual interests and explored ways to further strengthen the bilateral ties, especially at the political and economic levels in a way that contributes to supporting stability and development efforts. Both sides emphasized the importance of continuing this coordination and dialogue on regional and international matters, reaffirmed the need to boost cooperation, thus serving both peoples’ aspirations. The visit reflects Kuwait’s commitment to deepening its ties with Lebanon through joint collaboration. (KUNA)
