Kuwait Police Arrest Multiple Offenders in Major Crackdown Across Salwa and Rumaithiya

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 25: The Ministry of Interior has announced that the General Department of Police conducted a series of comprehensive traffic and security campaigns in Hawally Governorate, specifically targeting the areas of Salwa and Rumaithiya. These operations were launched to apprehend violators, curbing reckless behavior that endangers public safety, and reinforcing the overall security presence across the region.

According to the ministry, the campaigns yielded significant results, including:
  • Issuance of 524 traffic citations for various violations and impounded one wanted vehicle.
  • Arrest of two individuals with outstanding arrest warrants.
  • Detention of seven persons found in possession of narcotics and alcoholic substances.
  • Impoundment of nine vehicles for violations and seven wanted vehicles.
  • Arrest of five individuals found to be in an intoxicated state.
  • Arrest of seven residence and labor law violators, along with five individuals reported absconding from their workplaces.
  • Arrest of one person wanted for criminal activities.
  • Referral of one suspect to precautionary detention and another to the Juvenile Prosecution.

The General Department of Rescue Police reaffirmed its commitment to continuing these intensified campaigns across all governorates. It emphasized that legal action will be taken against all offenders without exception, underscoring that these operations play a vital role in preserving public security and improving traffic safety throughout Kuwait.
