KUWAIT CITY, Oct 30: Following a warning against traveling to Hajj without proper permits, the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs in Kuwait has announced the opening of electronic registration for the upcoming Hajj season, reports Al-Seyassah daily. The registration will be available from Nov 3 to Nov 17 via the electronic platform and through authentication in the ‘My Identity’ application.
The following are the registration conditions: A Kuwaiti citizen must have never performed Hajj; group size must not exceed three people, including relatives; one expat companion may be added (e.g., resident spouse or children of a Kuwaiti) and a non-citizen companion may also be included (e.g., spouse or mother of a Kuwaiti).
A stateless (Bedoun) person must have never performed Hajj; group size must not exceed three people, including relatives; one resident companion can be added (e.g., spouse or mother); one Kuwaiti companion can be added; must be holder of a valid security card.
The following is the important information:
Applicants may change and replace participants during the registration period.
A payment of 750 dinars is required as an advance for each person to confirm registration.
If the primary applicant cancels their application, the entire group’s application will be canceled.
Transfers between caravans are allowed only once and must be completed by December 31, 2024.
The age group is sorted out as follows:
first category: 60 years and above;
second category: 35 to 59 years and the
third category: 34 years and under
The Ministry also stated that if an application is canceled before December 31, a full refund will be issued. However, cancellations after this date will result in a complete deduction unless the canceled spot is filled.
