BANGKOK, Aug 23: Kuwait’s Olympic soccer team secured a 1-0 victory over Malaysia in a friendly match the day before yesterday, part of their ongoing training camp in Bangkok, Thailand.

The decisive goal was scored by Moath Al-Osaimah, giving the team a morale-boosting win ahead of their upcoming qualifiers. Earlier in the week, Kuwait also defeated Thai side Nonthaburi 2-0 in their first friendly of the camp.

The Kuwaiti delegation is set to leave Thailand the day after tomorrow and travel to Myanmar to prepare for the AFC U-23 Asian Cup 2026 qualifiers in Saudi Arabia. Kuwait will compete in Group B alongside Myanmar, Japan, and Afghanistan. The qualifying matches are scheduled to take place from September 1 to 9.
