The price of Kuwaiti oil dropped Thursday by $1.26 to settle at $42.74 per barrel after being at $44 the day before, said Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) Friday.

At the global level, the price of oil retreated by four percent yesterday due to speculation over the UK possible detachment from the EU.

The price of oil also was affected by statistics regarding the decrease in the American crude reserves.

The Brent mix price went down by $1.78 to settle at $47.19 pb while the price for the American crude also went down $1.8 to settle at $46.21 pb. (KUNA)
