KUWAIT CITY, Oct 13: Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Housing Affairs, Abdullatif Al-Mishari, convened with Kuwait’s governors on Monday to discuss strategic work plans and operational mechanisms aimed at advancing the country’s development projects in line with the state’s overarching policy.
The meeting took place at the Farwaniya Governorate office, chaired by Governor Sheikh Athbi Nasser Al-Athbi Al-Sabah. Attendees included Minister Al-Mishari, Governor of the Capital Sheikh Abdullah Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah, Acting Governor of Mubarak Al-Kabeer, Governor of Hawally Sheikh Sabah Bader Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, and Governor of Ahmadi Sheikh Humoud Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
A detailed review of the "Baladia 139" application was a key focus of the session. The app, designed to enhance service delivery and improve the efficiency of administrative and field operations across the governorates, was examined thoroughly. Discussions also covered frameworks for strengthened cooperation between the Ministry of Municipality and the governorates.
Minister Al-Mishari commended the critical role played by the governorates in supporting the ministry’s field efforts. He emphasized that the next phase will bring heightened coordination and collaboration, fostering a spirit of institutional partnership among government agencies.
The governors expressed gratitude for the unwavering backing from the political leadership and government, underscoring their commitment to serving Kuwait. They also acknowledged Minister Al-Mishari’s continuous support and partnership in advancing vital projects across all six governorates.
The meeting included participation from Manal Al-Asfour, Director General of Kuwait Municipality, alongside several municipal leaders.
