TUNIS, Oct 22: The Arab Interior Ministers Council (AIMC) on Wednesday awarded Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior (MoI) two prizes for anti-drugs cooperation at Arab and international levels. The honors were announced at the 39th Arab Conference of the Heads of Anti-Narcotics Agencies in Tunis, chaired by Chief of Kuwait’s General Directorate for Drug Control at MoI, Brigadier General Mohammad Qabazard. The awards recognize the best operational and information sharing cooperation annually among Arab drug control groups. The agenda covers a proposed annual Arab Anti-Drugs Week, current global drug trends (production, use, smuggling, and countermeasures), and outcomes of Arab and international meetings from 2024-25.(KUNA)
