KUWAIT CITY, Oct 14: Dean of Kuwaiti Journalism and Editor-in-Chief of Al-Seyassah and Arab Times newspapers Ahmed Al-Jarallah on Tuesday met with Head of Mission and acting Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa to the State of Kuwait Busisiwe Mpungose, who was accompanied by Trade and Information Officer at the embassy Ayman Alakrass.

The meeting focused on areas of cooperation between the two sides in the media and cultural fields, and ways to enhance knowledge exchange between the Kuwaiti and South African media, contributing to deepening bridges of communication between the two friendly peoples. The two sides also discussed the global media landscape and the challenges that the media is facing in light of the digital revolution and the development of modern communication tools.

Al-Jarallah warmly welcomed the guests, affirming the commitment of the Kuwaiti media to remain open to various cultures and to build bridges of dialogue with media institutions around the world. He praised the role of South African diplomacy in supporting dialogue and understanding between peoples. Meanwhile, Mpungose expressed her appreciation for the prestigious status that Kuwaiti journalism enjoys in the region, confirming that her country aspires for stronger cooperation in media and cultural fields, which would contribute to strengthening the bonds of friendship between the two countries and peoples.
