KUWAIT CITY, Aug 23(KUNA): Kuwait’s National Wingsuit Flying Team captured first place at the 5th World Championship, held in the Czech Republic.
In a statement, the Kuwait Olympic Committee announced that the national squad became the first Arab team to participate in the prestigious event and claim the title.
Team members Ali Askar, Farhan Al-Mhaisen, and Faisal Al-Sharqawi secured the gold medal in the national teams’ category, while Askar also finished second overall among all competitors.
Al-Mhaisen added a silver medal in the time category, and Askar claimed bronze medals in both the speed and distance events.
