KUWAIT CITY, Oct 9: The Kuwaiti Ministry of Education has launched an urgent investigation into two separate incidents involving unauthorized school activities, which were held in violation of official regulations. In response, Minister of Education Eng. Sayed Jalal Al-Tabtabaei has issued a ministerial decision to suspend those responsible, including school principals and curriculum teachers, pending the outcome of the probe.
In an official statement issued on Wednesday, the Ministry confirmed that the events in question represent clear violations of Ministerial Resolution No. 135 of 2025, which governs the organization of celebrations and events in schools. The resolution explicitly prohibits any school activity from being held without the supervision of the competent educational activities departments and prior approval.
The Ministry stressed that the incidents are considered a serious breach of educational protocols and a transgression requiring accountability. It underscored its commitment to upholding the prestige of academic institutions and maintaining strict adherence to laws and regulations in force within the State of Kuwait.
“The Ministry will not tolerate any breach of instructions or deviation from approved regulations,” the statement said, adding that legal and administrative action will be taken against any individual found to have neglected professional or administrative duties.
The suspended personnel will remain relieved of their duties until the investigation committee completes its work and determines the appropriate course of action.
The Ministry also issued a directive to all school administrations across educational levels to strictly comply with relevant laws and ministerial decisions, ensuring that any school activity aligns with educational objectives and national interests, while steering clear of practices that fall outside the educational framework.
