Kuwait increases ‘nature of work’ allowance for nurses by 30-50 dinars

KUWAIT CITY, April 27: The Ministry of Health has announced revisions to the “nature of work” allowance for nursing staff in hospitals and health centers, aimed at incentivizing and rewarding their dedication while also enhancing the attractiveness of the profession.

Under the new amendments, category “C” of the nature of work allowance has been abolished, with its beneficiaries shifted to category “B.” Furthermore, adjustments have been made to elevate certain categories from “B” to “A.” These changes come with an increase in the allowance, ranging from 30 to 50 dinars, based on the category and job title.

Efforts are underway within the Ministry of Health to expedite the incorporation of these amendments into the financial and administrative systems, ensuring prompt disbursement to eligible nursing staff, including both Kuwaiti nationals and expatriates.
