KUWAIT CITY, May 11: Kuwait, through the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, is hosting the Kuwait Sustainable Energy Conference and Exhibition today, Sunday, at the Kuwait International Fairgrounds. The event is being held in collaboration with the Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE) and will run until May 13.
The conference is being held under the patronage and presence of the Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy Dr. Subaih Al-Mukhaizeem, who emphasized the importance of the event in shaping the future of sustainable energy in the region.
A statement from the Ministry highlighted the conference's goals, including raising community awareness about the need to preserve natural resources. The event also aims to facilitate the transition toward sustainable energy sources in alignment with Kuwait Vision 2035. Furthermore, it seeks to strengthen regional cooperation among Arab countries and the Mediterranean region in research, development, and the exchange of renewable energy technologies.
The conference is expected to foster greater collaboration between the public and private sectors, showcasing the latest innovations and national initiatives in the fields of energy, water, and the environment. It will also underscore Kuwait's leadership role in the region and internationally in clean energy and sustainability.
In addition to the main conference sessions, panel discussions and interactive workshops will be held, featuring local and international experts. These sessions will offer insights into the latest trends and challenges in the renewable energy sector.
