MADRID, Sept 4: Kuwait’s national futsal team held Spain’s CD Burila to a thrilling 4-4 draw during their training camp in Spain, marking an important step in their preparation for the upcoming AFC Futsal Championship qualifiers in Kuwait from September 20–24.

Mohammed Al-Ajmi shone with two goals, while Abdulaziz Al-Hajri and Abdul Latif Al-Abbasi each added a goal, keeping the team competitive throughout the match.

After returning from Madrid, the Futsal Blue will enter a domestic training camp from September 9–14, featuring two friendlies against Vietnam on September 11 and 13 to fine-tune their tactics and cohesion.

The final preparatory camp begins on September 18, as the team readies for its qualifier campaign. Placed in Group A alongside Australia, Mongolia, and India, Kuwait will kick off against India on September 20, face Mongolia on September 22, and close the group stage against Australia on September 24.

The tournament features eight groups, with group winners and the seven best runners-up advancing to join host nation Indonesia in the 18th edition of the AFC Futsal Championship, scheduled for January next year.
