KUWAIT CITY, Dec 10: The Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) continues its nationwide inspection campaigns to identify violations, expired licenses, unlicensed buildings, and improper storage practices. On Tuesday, the inspections extended to the Shuwaikh Industrial Area.

KFSD Chief Major General Talal Al-Roumi emphasized that these campaigns are ongoing and aim to ensure compliance with safety and fire standards. Speaking to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), he stated that 45 firefighters participated in the Shuwaikh Industrial Area inspection, focusing on identifying violations and shutting down hazardous locations, including plots, warehouses, and shops.

Al-Roumi noted that the daily inspections target all areas of the country, aiming to address issues such as improper and random storage, lack of licenses, and neglected maintenance of equipment.

He urged property owners and tenants to obtain proper fire department licenses for buildings or properties they intend to lease or rent and to ensure these meet all fire safety standards.
