KUWAIT CITY, Oct 17: The Cabinet during its weekly meeting Monday will study a report which will be submitted by the concerned authorities to return Kuwait to normal life, and will look into a package of suggestions to open doors for some activities which continue to remain closed – activities such as the wedding halls and events of all kinds, allow gatherings, in addition to opening places of worship, as well as discarding of face masks, reports Al-Qabas daily. The sources indicated the report will include the epidemiological situation in the country, since there are indications that there is a considerable decrease in the rate of infections and admission to the intensive care units and deaths which have become almost non-existent. This is in addition to a report of infections in schools and figures confirm that they are no longer a source of concern, in the event that any health decisions are taken.

The sources concluded: “The government’s motto has been to wait and watch since the beginning of the pandemic, therefore, the decisions will comprise of two options – either to throw open the activities to the ‘only vaccinated’ or open them ‘to everyone’,” and increase the rates of community immunization against Covid-19
