Who Is Not Eligible to Apply via eVisa Portal?
Expatriates holding nationalities from the following countries are not eligible to apply through the online eVisa system:
Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Yemen etc, ( which are not listed in below mentioned portal)
For these nationalities, it is recommended that they apply for a Kuwait visit visa in person at the nearest Kuwaiti embassy or consulate in their GCC country of residence.
Visa on Arrival Eligibility (53 Countries)
Citizens of the following 53 countries can obtain a visit visa upon arrival at Kuwait International Airport:
Eligible Countries Include:
United States, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Germany, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Portugal, Greece, Ireland, Finland, Spain, Monaco, Vatican, Iceland, Andorra, San Marino, Liechtenstein, Brunei, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, South Korea, Bhutan, Poland, Georgia, Ukraine, Slovenia, Estonia, Czech Republic, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, Cyprus, Serbia, Slovakia, Cambodia, Latvia, Laos, Lithuania, Malta, Croatia, Hungary.
Visa on Arrival Conditions:
- Must possess a return ticket
- Must not be blacklisted in Kuwait
- Passport must be valid for more than six months
- Must register accommodation address in Kuwait at the visa counter upon arrival
- Entry remains subject to approval by immigration authorities
Eligibility Criteria for GCC Expats Applying via eVisa
To qualify for a Kuwait eVisa as an expatriate residing in the GCC, who is not listed for visa on arrival (like India, Egypt, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Lebanon, Nepal, etc), you must meet all the following conditions:
1. Valid GCC Residency
Must hold a residency permit in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, or Oman.
2. Residency Validity
The residency must be valid for more than six months from the intended entry date into Kuwait.
3. Passport Validity
Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your intended arrival date.
4. Professional Criteria
Only expatriates in approved professions are eligible. Approved professions include: Doctor, Lawyer, Engineer, Teacher, Judge, Consultant, Members of Public Prosecution, University Teacher, Journalist, Press & Media Staff, Pilot, System Analyst, Pharmacist, Computer Programmer, Manager, Businessman, Diplomatic Corps, Owners, Managers & Representative of Commercial Companies & Establishments, University Graduates.
5. Clean Legal Record
You must not be blacklisted or have any legal restrictions that would prevent your entry into Kuwait.
Required Documents for eVisa Application
When applying for a Kuwait eVisa, you will need to upload the following documents:
- Passport Copy
A clear digital copy of your passport’s biodata page
- GCC Residency Proof
A copy of your valid residency permit in the GCC
- Return Ticket
Proof of return or onward travel
- Passport-Sized Photograph
Recent photo with a white background
- Accommodation Details
Hotel booking or proof of stay in Kuwait
- Profession Verification (if applicable)
Documentation to confirm your profession (e.g., work ID, employment certificate)
Application Process
- Visit the eVisa Portal
Apply online through either of the official websites:
- Complete the Application Form
Fill in accurate personal and travel information.
- Upload Documents
Submit all required documents as listed above.
- Pay Visa Fees
Pay online using a valid credit or debit card.
- Await Confirmation
After submission, your application will be reviewed. You will receive notifications via your registered email.
- Receive Your eVisa
Once approved, the eVisa will be emailed to you. Print a copy to present upon arrival in Kuwait.
Processing Time & Validity
- Processing Time: 1 to 3 business days
- Visa Validity: 90 days from the date of issuance
- Stay Duration: Up to 90 days from the date of entry

- Ensure your GCC residency and passport remain valid throughout your stay.
- Double-check that your profession is listed among the approved categories.
- Compliance with Kuwaiti law is mandatory during your stay.
