KUWAIT CITY, Sept 14: Kuwait has expressed strong support for the recent statement issued at the joint meeting on the two-state solution, which took place in Madrid, Spain. The meeting, attended by representatives from various Arab and European nations, along with officials from the League of Arab States and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, focused on advancing the resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
In an official statement, Kuwait's Ministry of Foreign Affairs conveyed its gratitude for the concerted efforts of the participating countries and organizations. Special recognition was given to the ministerial committee led by Saudi Arabia, established by the extraordinary joint Arab and Islamic summit. This committee aims to address the Palestinian issue in accordance with United Nations resolutions and to halt the ongoing aggression by Israeli forces against the Palestinian people.
The statement also acknowledged the continuous mediation efforts by Egypt, Qatar, and the United States, commending their roles in facilitating dialogue and seeking a resolution.
Kuwait reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives that strive for a just resolution to the Palestinian issue and the alleviation of Palestinian suffering. The country advocates for backing Palestine's bid for full United Nations membership and calls for the convening of an international peace conference with the participation of all relevant parties.
