Kuwait Junior basketball team delegation.

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 15: The Kuwaiti junior basketball team embarked on a journey to Turkey, commencing an external training camp scheduled until January 29 to gear up for upcoming events.

Leading the delegation is Mohsen Al-Sahmi, Vice President of the Federation. The team also comprises Mishal Mohammed as an administrator, Talal Al-Qallaf as coach, Musab Al-Khamis as assistant coach, Talib Al-Kandari as supervisor, and 16 players: Mubarak Al-Mawli, Hassan Al-Hashimi, Abdul-Rahman Al-Marzouq, Saleh Al-Zaatari, Freej Al-Freij, Ali Al-Rabah, Ahmed Al-Mutairi, Abdul-Rahman Al-Rabah, Mahdi Al-Nasser, Suwait Al-Dhafiri, Hussein Bouftin, Abdullah Al-Jarid, Abdulaziz Al-Tahous, Abdul-Rahman Al-Qutaifi, Hassan Al-Anazi, and Yaqoub Al-Anazi.

During the camp, Al-Azraq is set to participate in five friendly matches. Mohsen Al-Sahmi, the head of the delegation and vice-president of the federation, shared that the national teams committee has devised a comprehensive preparation program for all national teams, including the junior national team.

This preparation is in anticipation of the Asian Window qualifiers for the Gulf region, scheduled to take place in Qatar next summer. Al-Sahmi highlighted that the program incorporates breaks in the league schedule to assemble the team, distribute equipment, provide technical training for players, and set the stage for the external training camp featuring five trial matches.

Al-Sahmi expressed gratitude to the Sports Authority for their collaboration with the Federation, endorsing and financially supporting the implementation of this program to ensure the national teams excel in the upcoming period.
