KUWAIT CITY, Oct 28: A decree was issued approving the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the governments of Kuwait and the Arab Republic of Egypt in the field of developing industrial exports, within the framework of enhancing economic and trade cooperation between the two brotherly countries. According to the decree published in the official gazette, ‘Kuwait Al- Youm’, the two contracting parties are committed to making the necessary efforts to develop and facilitate trade exchange and provide all possible facilities in several areas, particularly the participation of the public and private sectors in international and specialized exhibitions held in both countries, encouraging participation in introductory and promotional activities such as conferences, seminars and discussion panels, and exchanging visits of official and private delegations that include representatives of the economic and industrial sectors in both countries.
Article Three of the memorandum stipulates the exchange of economic and commercial information related to the markets in the two countries, such as publications, statistics, electronic data, and industrial information, while maintaining the confidentiality of the exchanged information and not transferring it to any third party unless a written consent is obtained from the information source. The two parties also agreed to provide facilities for conducting market studies and organizing media seminars, training programs, and exploratory visits, intending to exchange expertise and experiences in the development of industrial exports, thus contributing to strengthening economic relations between Kuwait and Egypt.
