KUWAIT CITY, Sept 9: Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah on Monday announced the dissolution of four public benefit associations after detecting violations of their regulations and bylaws.
In a press statement, Al-Huwailah said the decisions also included the formation of specialized committees to inventory the funds and assets of the dissolved associations, which will be transferred to the Ministry of Social Affairs in line with approved legal procedures.
She underlined that the step comes within the ministry’s efforts to regulate institutional work, strengthen transparency and accountability, safeguard the public interest, and ensure the integrity of civil society institutions’ activities.
The minister affirmed that the ministry continues to monitor the work of public benefit associations and institutions to ensure compliance with laws and regulations, adding that any violations will be addressed in a manner that preserves the rights of members and beneficiaries.
Al-Huwailah stressed that these measures reflect the ministry’s approach to reinforcing the civil work environment on solid legal foundations, thereby contributing to community development in accordance with the law.
