KUWAIT CITY, Oct 25: Director General of the General Administration of Customs, Yousef Al-Nuwaif, emphasized the critical importance of intensifying collaboration between various customs departments to safeguard Kuwait from smuggling threats and ensure efficient passenger inspections.

Al-Nuwaif's comments came on Saturday during an inspection tour of the T5 Airport Customs Department, accompanied by Deputy Director General for Research and Investigation, Saleh Al-Omar. The visit was part of a broader effort to assess the readiness of customs facilities and ensure smooth operations in line with global standards.

In a statement following the tour, Al-Nuwaif highlighted the ongoing efforts to improve operational efficiency and enhance coordination between departments.
