KUWAIT CITY, Oct 25: Director General of the General Administration of Customs, Yousef Al-Nuwaif, emphasized the critical importance of intensifying collaboration between various customs departments to safeguard Kuwait from smuggling threats and ensure efficient passenger inspections.
Al-Nuwaif's comments came on Saturday during an inspection tour of the T5 Airport Customs Department, accompanied by Deputy Director General for Research and Investigation, Saleh Al-Omar. The visit was part of a broader effort to assess the readiness of customs facilities and ensure smooth operations in line with global standards.
In a statement following the tour, Al-Nuwaif highlighted the ongoing efforts to improve operational efficiency and enhance coordination between departments. "We are committed to maintaining robust field operations to boost discipline, readiness, and performance levels within our customs systems," he said. "This is vital in staying ahead of global challenges and evolving customs practices."
Al-Nuwaif also praised the dedication and professionalism of customs inspectors, noting their vital role in protecting Kuwait's security and supporting the nation's economic stability.
