KUWAIT CITY, Aug 10: The Second Misdemeanor Court sentenced a Kuwaiti to three months in prison and imposed a bail of KD1,000 to suspend the sentence until the verdict is finalized. The citizen was convicted of insulting a Kuwaiti doctor during her official duties and threatening to have her transferred from her position. The incident occurred when the defendant attempted to enter a government clinic without an appointment, bypassing other patients. When the doctor refused to admit him, he verbally abused her and threatened to use his influence to have her reassigned. The court emphasized that the defendant’s behavior is an offense against a public employee while performing her duties and could not be tolerated, as it undermines the dignity and authority of public service.
