Kuwait Committee moves to withdraw nationality in certain cases

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 14: The Supreme Committee for the Investigation of Kuwaiti Nationality convened on Thursday under the chairmanship of Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah.

During the meeting, the committee reviewed several cases and decided to revoke or withdraw Kuwaiti nationality in specific instances, with final submission pending approval by the Cabinet.

According to a press statement, the cases involve the loss of nationality certificates due to dual citizenship, withdrawal of nationality certificates based on “fraud and false statements” or forgery, and revocation of citizenship deemed necessary for the higher interest of the country.

The committee emphasized that these measures are part of ongoing efforts to safeguard national interests and ensure the integrity of citizenship regulations.
