KUWAIT CITY, June 29: The Board of Directors of Kuwait Club has finalized the professional roster for the volleyball team's 2024-2025 season by signing Brazilian player Joao Ferreira and Cuban player Fernandez Ramos. They will replace Chinese player Liu and Iranian player Saber Kazemi, whose contracts were not renewed. Additionally, Kuwait Club has acquired Al-Arabi player Hussein Al-Masri, while Faisal Al-Ajmi has retired from the game.
Ferreira, a position 4 player, has previously played for Egypt's Zamalek and Saudi Arabia's Al-Hilal, while Ramos, who plays the Kroos position, competed in the Greek League last season. The Kaifan handball team has renewed their confidence in Turkish coach Taner Atik for another season after he led them to win the treble: the Premier League, the Federation Championship, and the Super Cup.
Musleh Al-Rashidi, the director of volleyball at Kuwait Club, confirmed that the board is committed to maintaining the stability of the first team. The coach's contract was renewed, and high-level professionals were signed well in advance of the new season preparations, which will begin between August 10 and 15.
Regarding the external training camp, Al-Rashidi stated that a decision is pending the release of the new season’s calendar by the Federation, which will provide dates for local and international tournaments.
