KUWAIT CITY, Jan 18: Kuwait Club sailed smoothly to another victory in the basketball league, securing a triumphant 108-67 win over Al-Arabi in its recent encounter during the second round of the league's second division. Simultaneously, Al-Sulaibikhat celebrated a significant triumph over Al-Qurain with a final score of 80-60.With this latest win, Kuwait Club elevated its score to 18 points, while Al-Arabi reached 14 points. Likewise, Sulaibikhat's victory propelled its score to 16 points, with Al-Qurain trailing closely at 14 points.

As per the tournament system, the top four teams from the preliminary round will advance to the semi-finals. In this phase, the first-ranked team will face the fourth, and the second will meet the third in a semi-final featuring a "play-off" system consisting of three matches, with the team winning two matches progressing to the final.

The defending champion, Kuwait Club, encountered little resistance in asserting dominance over the match from the outset. It concluded the first quarter with a commanding lead of 33-14.Maintaining their superiority, Kuwait, led by Haitian professional Cady LaLanne's impressive 29-point contribution, concluded the second quarter with a 50-30 advantage.

Despite the efforts of Arab-American professional Dax, who scored 31 points, Al-Abyad continued to control the game in the third quarter, extending its lead to 79-43.In the final quarter, Kuwait's coach introduced substitutes who seamlessly continued the team's advantage, concluding the match with a convincing 108-67 victory.

In the second matchup, Sulaibikhat secured a crucial win over Al-Qurain in their pursuit of a spot in the semi-finals. Sulaibikhat dominated each quarter, finishing 18-14, 38-31, and 63-42 before ultimately sealing the victory at 80-60.
