Kuwait Club heads to Prague after friendly win over Al-Shabab

Al-Dhafiri, Farih, and Amr take part in Kuwait’s final training sessions.

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 6: Kuwait Club defeated Al-Shabab 3–1 in a friendly match held at its home ground, as part of both teams’ preparations for the upcoming 2025–2026 Zain Premier League season, which kicks off on September 12.

Ahmed Al-Dhafiri, Fahad Hammoud, and Ibrahim Kamil were on target for Kuwait Club, while Abdullah Fadel scored the lone goal for Al-Shabab.

Following the win, Kuwait Club will depart today for its preseason training camp in Prague, Czech Republic. The camp will run until August 28 and includes four scheduled friendly matches. Upon its return, Kuwait Club will begin its league campaign with a game against Al-Tadamon on September 12.

The delegation is led by board member Adel Oqla, with Mohammed Al-Hajri as team manager. Administrative staff includes Dr. Ahmad Al-Subaih and Basil Al-Dhafiri, along with team photographer Nasser Bin Nasser.
