Kuwait Club gears up for Asian Championship with Turkish training camp

ISTANBUL, Sept 2: Kuwait Club is intensifying its daily training at its current camp in Turkey as it prepares for the 24th Asian Clubs Volleyball Championship, set to take place in Yazd, Iran, from September 8-15. The Asian Volleyball Federation released the tournament schedule two days ago. Kuwait Club will kick off the competition by facing Kazakhstan's Pavlodar team in the preliminary round of Group One on September 9. It will then play against Jakarta Bhayangkara of Indonesia on September 10, followed by a match against Iran's Shahdab Yazd.


Group Two features Iraq's Gas Al-Janub, Qatar's Al-Rayyan, Afghanistan's Kam Air, and Iran's Foolad Sirjan. As part of its preparation, Kuwait Club played its first friendly match in the Turkish camp against Istanbul Spor and is scheduled to face the same team again tomorrow.
